Job Summary:
The Certified Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) position is based in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The role involves providing specialized surgical support in a fast-paced operating room setting with a focus on orthopedic procedures, including Total Joints. Candidates will assist with robotic surgical equipment and have a solid background in general surgery. The orientation is scheduled to begin on 08/03/2026, with ongoing clinical responsibilities requiring proficiency in surgical techniques and experience with robotic systems.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 8 hours shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid NBSTSA certification; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification by the American Heart Association or ARC; 36 months of current/recent surgical technology experience; proficient in orthopedic surgery including Total Joints; general surgery experience required; experience with Mako Rosa robotics preferred; no first-time travelers; must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 12 months; valid drivers license; proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with DaVinci robotics; same-day or next-day interview preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • The assignment involves working with Da Vinci Xi, Mako, and Rosa robotic systems.
  • Orientation dates are scheduled for 08/03 and 08/10.
  • No on-call duties or weekend shifts are required for this role.
  • Submission processes include phone call or text communication from a 405 area code within the local radius rule of 50 miles.
  • The facility has a bed size of 14 and requires quick eligibility confirmation and documentation submission.
