Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Jefferson City. This full‑time position offers the opportunity to support clients through the Social Security Disability process, preparing them for hearings and representing them before administrative law judges. The role is open to licensed attorneys or recent law school graduates nearing licensure. Duties Prepare clients for administrative hearings with professionalism and empathy. Represent clients during Social Security Disability hearings. Draft administrative appeals to the Appeals Council. Evaluate prospective clients to determine eligibility for representation. Maintain accurate records and manage deadlines using the firm’s case management system. Requirements Active law license in Missouri or Kansas, or ability to obtain one within one month of hire. Strong legal writing and research skills. Excellent organization and time management abilities. Ability to manage a high caseload with attention to detail. Experience with Social Security Disability law or appellate work is helpful but not required. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Certifications Licensed to practice law in Missouri or Kansas. Skills Proficiency in legal writing and research. Strong organizational and time management skills. Attention to detail in managing caseloads.
