The Zebra Club is seeking an experienced, polished and highly intuitive Maître d' to lead our guest-arrival experience and help control the rhythm of the room. We are a cocktail lounge and supper club inspired by the glamour and sophistication of a bygone era. Our approach combines refinement without stiffness, exceptional food and drinks, and warm, deeply personal hospitality.

This is not simply a host position. This is a hospitality and dining-room operations role, not a direct-sales position. The Maître d' is responsible for setting the tone of every guest's evening, managing reservations and seating strategy, recognizing returning guests, coordinating VIP arrivals, and ensuring that the dining room and lounge operate with grace and precision.

Responsibilities include:

• Welcome every guest warmly and professionally
• Manage reservations, waitlists, walk-ins and table assignments
• Create and adjust seating plans according to volume and service conditions
• Balance sections and coordinate seating pace with the floor, kitchen and bar
• Review guest profiles, preferences, celebrations and special requests
• Recognize VIPs and regulars while maintaining complete discretion
• Communicate reservation notes, allergies and time restrictions to the service team
• Monitor table progress and upcoming reservations throughout service
• Handle delays, special requests and guest concerns with composure
• Supervise and develop the host and reservations team
• Maintain an immaculate, organized and welcoming entrance
• Protect the atmosphere and flow of the restaurant and lounge
• Ensure guests never feel rushed, overlooked or treated transactionally

Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Compensation: Salary/Hourly (Based on Experience)
