Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift

Airflow Quality Inspector Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for experienced Airflow Quality Inspector for 2nd shift who wishes to continuing developing his or her career as an Airflow Quality Inspector through advanced manufacturing technology by executing a higher level of workmanship. Hi-Tek offers a clean, climate-controlled environment and we believe in quality and safety above all else. 2nd shift offers a generous shift differential 3:30pm-12:00am Mon-Fri OT may be required as needed Hi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening. Essential Duties and Tasks Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the operator is responsible for following all policies and procedures associated with the various parts and equipment that he or she will be trained and certified to run. In addition, operators load/unload parts to fulfil production demands, inspect parts using various precision measuring tools, accept or reject parts, and communicate any changes, both verbally and in writing. Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications Verifies conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and airflow equipment as necessary such as borescopes, rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances to complete inspection as required Clean parts using chemical degreaser and parts wash machine Prep parts using foil tape and sealing wax Perform and Document Scheduled Airflow test including but not limited to Shut-off valve test, System leak test, and Flow restrictions test and record results Analyze and interpret test results Load and unload parts for airflow, and or other testing as required Perform, and Document scheduled airflow test log and reports Documents actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties. Follow all Hi-Tek policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishment. Effective communication and people skills to maintain a working relationship with Quality, Engineering, and Management Dependability, integrity, cooperation and taking the initiative for work responsibilities and challenges are critical Ability to operate autonomously and self-direct Always take ownership and be accountable for your actions Reliable attendance and a respectful demeanor are necessary Any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organizations values Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required Must meet the ITAR definition of 120.15 U.S. person 2+ years of prior experience with visual, airflow, and dimensional inspections of aerospace / gas turbine components required Experience working in a Quality System certified to ISO9001, AS9100, or Nadcap a plus Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry preferred Key Competencies The ability to work efficiently with others or independently as required Integrity and conscientiousness in all work-related matters Safety conscious always Reliable attendance within acceptable standards of attendance policy Complex problem solving with critical math skills Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions in English Must be able to clearly communicate information to others verbally and in writing in English Physical Demand Levels Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 20/20 vision (natural or corrected) required with ability to pass annual vision test as required Lift, push and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularly Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary Stand at least 50% of scheduled shift Walking or sitting as needed to perform job duties as assigned Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials This job description is a tool to be followed.
