Job Description

The PMO Consultant is responsible for providing expertise and leadership in Project Management Office (PMO) functions across large-scale enterprise projects. This role requires a demonstrated ability to manage and optimize project governance, drive project delivery excellence, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.

Required Competencies and Experience

•Minimum of five years’ experience in enterprise project management, including successful oversight of large-scale project portfolios

•Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and thorough understanding of PMO best practices and frameworks

•Proven capability to design, implement, and refine project governance structures tailored to business needs

•Experience in developing project strategies and plans, covering resource management, project scheduling, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting

•Proficiency in project monitoring and control, including the use of project management metrics and KPIs to track progress and performance

•Collaboration with project teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of PMO processes into project lifecycles

•Understanding of the GBS/SSC/BPO market, including exposure to PMO operations within these environments, is preferred

•Experience in consulting engagements and supporting clients in project delivery optimization is considered an advantage

•Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams toward common objectives

•Comfortable engaging with client management and project sponsors, demonstrating professionalism and composure in high-pressure situations

•Track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

•Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and quality

•Advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint), project management tools (such as MS Project), and data visualization/reporting tools

•Fluent English proficiency: knowledge of French or Spanish is considered an asset

Preferred Additional Experience

•Background in business transformation or PMO setup projects

•Experience in transition or change management supporting PMO activities

•Practical experience with Migration as a Service, including Lift & Shift and Transform & Shift initiatives, within a PMO context

Key Responsibilities and Growth Opportunities

As a PMO Consultant, you will be empowered to manage and deliver projects or specific PMO functions, ensuring that all work meets expectations for scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Key responsibilities include:

•Applying your PMO knowledge and expertise to develop and deliver high-quality project governance and reporting deliverables

•Managing and organizing client workshops to support project planning and execution

•Leading PMO activities from project initiation through closure, ensuring best practices are applied throughout

•Providing and securing constructive feedback to support project improvement and stakeholder satisfaction

•Monitoring and reporting on project and portfolio progress to stakeholders and leadership

•Identifying project risks and developing robust mitigation strategies

•When required, overseeing project financials, maintaining project plans, supervising resource allocation, and ensuring consistent monitoring and reporting of project health and risk management

•Participating in the end-to-end sales process, including proposal development and supporting successful project delivery

•Building and nurturing strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

•Leveraging your expertise to actively support the enhancement of Capgemini’s PMO offerings and services

•Contributing to the development and execution of transformation agendas for both existing and new clients

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $38,610- $108,750. Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction. These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
