Saint Francis Hospital is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant for inpatient locum coverage at both Saint Francis Hospital and Saint Mary s Hospital.

Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $185/hr
Weekend Hourly: $220/hr
Night call: $470/hr
Callback: $250/hr

Clinical Responsibilities
Pre-op physical exams
Suture removal
Diagnose and treat illnesses
Order and interpret tests
Surgical assisting
Write prescriptions
Coordination of care
Daily rounding
Required Procedures
Placement of central venous catheters
Placement of dialysis catheters
Placement of arterial lines
Endoscopic vein retrieval
Intra-aortic balloon pump placement

Note: Provider will not manage balloon pumps independently.

Practice Environment
Average census: Approximately 10 patients per day
EMR: Epic
Trauma Level I facility
Provider works autonomously
No supervising physician onsite during assignment

Requirements
NCCPA Board Certification required
Active Connecticut license required
Minimum 1 year of experience required
ACLS and BLS required
Must be able to perform all listed duties and procedures
Epic experience preferred
Must be able to cover both Saint Francis and Saint Mary s Hospital locations
Local candidates only mileage reimbursement only
Additional Information
Estimated credentialing timeframe: Mid-to-late July target start
No new graduates accepted
Site preference for experienced CT Surgery PAs with independent inpatient experience
