Lead Acute Care Nursing

Bridgton Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Manager to provide 24-hour clinical and operational leadership for the Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) and Telemetry departments. Reporting to the CNO/DON, you will lead patient care, nursing operations, staff development, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and departmental performance in a collaborative acute care environment.

Responsibilities

1. Lead daily operations for the Med/Surg and Telemetry units.
2. Ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
3. Manage staffing, scheduling, productivity, and departmental resources.
4. Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
5. Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives.
6. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state, and federal regulations.
7. Monitor quality metrics, patient satisfaction, and operational performance.
8. Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes and operational excellence.
9. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

1. Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse. 2. BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. 3. A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary. 4. Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting. 5. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.

6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Pay Transparency

Bridgton Hospital offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $84,905.60 to $122,990.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
