Overview Join to apply for the Family Nurse Practitioner role at MainStreet Family Care in Selma, Alabama. This full‑time opportunity is in urgent care, primary care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine. The ideal applicant will lead a small team in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. New graduates are welcomed. Schedule MainStreet Clinic Hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Saturday & Sunday 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. The schedule is rotating, including every other weekend. Sample schedule: Week 1: Monday (ON), Tuesday (ON), Wednesday (OFF), Thursday (OFF), Friday (ON), Saturday (ON), Sunday (ON). Week 2: Monday (OFF), Tuesday (OFF), Wednesday (ON), Thursday (ON), Friday (OFF), Saturday (OFF), Sunday (OFF). Responsibilities Provide patient‑focused care within scope of practice. Responsibilities include: Diagnosing and treating cold, flu, strep, COVID, and other upper respiratory issues Minor procedures (toenail removal, foreign object removal, etc.) Suturing, splinting, general orthopedic evaluation/management Review of X‑rays (to be over‑read by Radiologist) General dermatology, eye problems, EKG interpretations Emergency management skills General GYN expertise, treating children of all ages Occupational medicine, telemedicine Qualifications Family Nurse Practitioner board certification required MSN or higher education required (new graduate friendly) DOT certification or willingness to become certified (cost covered) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working in EMR and Microsoft Office suite preferred Compensation and Benefits Health, Dental, Vision Malpractice insurance Starting bonus Bonus incentive $750 CME allowance per year UpToDate subscription Paid time off, paid orientation and training 401(k) eligibility after 90 days Rotating shifts – 7 out of 14 days per two‑week cycle Training and Development After an on‑site hosted headquarters orientation and training, you will complete several shifts with existing providers. The company offers a complimentary pediatric urgent care CE course and NP on‑call support to aid clinical decision‑making. Rural Community Support MainStreet clinics operate 362 days a year to provide access to care in rural communities. Clinics qualify for tuition and student‑loan reimbursement grants, funded by the state. The company supports applicants in the application process for these grants.
