Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in performing thorough evaluations to determine patients' individual physical capabilities and limitations.
• Implement treatment plans based on the evaluations conducted by Physical Therapists, focusing on improving patients' strength, mobility, and overall functional performance.
• Administer hands-on manual therapy techniques—including mobilization and soft tissue treatment—and therapeutic exercises aimed at restoring movement and alleviating pain for patients suffering from musculoskeletal and neurological issues.
• Collaborate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team, which may include physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to provide integrated care and ensure holistic treatment approaches for each patient.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, the use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for injury prevention, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and recommendations for ongoing care, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Participate in continued professional development activities, demonstrating a commitment to staying current with industry best practices, certifications, and advancements in orthopedic rehabilitation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions that affect their mobility and daily function. Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Hold a valid California Physical Therapist Assistant license and an Associate of Arts or Science (AAS) in Physical Therapy Assisting.
• Demonstrated exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills with a focus on delivering high-quality physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an orthopedic setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems to document patient information and progress effectively.
• Engagement in professional development, such as pursuing additional certifications related to physical therapy techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
