Position Description Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Kansas City, KS offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about. Driver locations: SOLO to IL, WI, MO, MN, KS, IA, NE, ND, SD. Regional routes. Pay & Compensation Average pay: $1900 per week or more Hourly pay: $26.00 per hour plus $1 per hour for every 3 certifications or endorsements Overtime paid after 40 hours Per diem: $50 per night Annual tenure bonus: $1,000 Truck & Route Details Tractor type: day cab, sleeper, occasional straight truck Trailer types: flatbed, dry van, reefer, conestoga, curtainside, container Equipment: pallet jack, rollers, lift gate, Moffett Freight: touch and no-touch Load securement experience required: strapping, tarping, chaining Paid travel with overnight stays in Ryder‑booked hotel or sleeper Benefits Medical, dental, and vision after 30 days 80 hours PTO first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid) Uniforms, cell phone, and boot allowance provided Drivers are the captain—responsibility over safety decisions, job protected 401(k) rollover available now + company match at 1 year 12 weeks paid maternity leave subject to eligibility criteria, including work tenure Employee discounts on tools, vehicles, travel, tech & more Requirements Minimum 21 years of age Pass a Ryder drug test Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years Pass a DOT physical Pass a Ryder road test Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements Must have class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the past 3 years or 2 years within the last 5 years or 5 years within the last 10 years Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures Responsibilities Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations and agency rules, standards and guidelines Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight as required by the customer Perform other duties as assigned EEO Statement Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug‑free workplace.
