Step into a rewarding, full-time contract role supporting elementary students during a September-November maternity leave. You’ll work with an engaging caseload of 44-50 students, making a positive impact while delivering speech-language therapy services in a dynamic educational setting. This opportunity is ideal for dedicated professionals seeking hands-on experience in schools and the chance to collaborate closely with staff and young learners.
Qualified SLPs (CCC preferred) and SLPAs are welcome to apply for this important leave coverage.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLP or SLPA
- ASHA CCC certification strongly preferred for SLPs
- Experience or strong interest in working within elementary school environments
- Understanding of IEP process and special education documentation
- Excellent communication skills for collaboration and parent interaction
- Ability to manage a caseload of 44-50 students effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services for elementary-aged students
- Complete assessments, develop treatment goals, and write progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Implement and modify individualized treatment plans according to student needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain timely, accurate documentation
- Adapt strategies to meet diverse speech and language requirements within the school setting
