Marketing Specialist

SecureSky is a leading provider of managed cybersecurity services, specializing in MDR, Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM), and XDR platform management built around the Microsoft security stack. SecureSky is seeking a marketing-savvy Marketing Specialist to drive lead generation for our managed cybersecurity services, executing the advertising, content, and nurture strategies that fill our sales pipeline. This role owns lead nurture from initial engagement through to a scheduled introduction with the sales team. Job Responsibilities Develop and manage purchased media advertising - plan and track key metrics to optimize content, keywords, and budget to drive inbound leads. Other outbound marketing - develop and deploy other B2B outbound tactics, utilizing messaging apps and other outbound techniques, to drive inbound leads. Search engine and AI optimization - monitor and modify the website to enhance search engine results and in-site user experience/retention. Coordinate creative development process, plus light content development - work with technical content and graphic creators to define schedules and maintain messaging and visual continuity. Develop own content as you gain industry and company knowledge. Social media strategy - stay current and knowledgeable in the social space to apply the latest trends on relevant platforms; identify and evaluate new delivery channels to increase lead generation or raise brand awareness. Competitive research - maintain a common understanding of players in the cybersecurity space and how they impact SecureSky’s lead generation strategy; utilize social listening tools to track how competitor positioning differs from SecureSky’s and how we can differentiate. Lead nurturing and prospect engagement - build and manage nurture campaigns (email, social, retargeting) that engage and qualify prospects generated through marketing channels, carrying them through to a scheduled meeting or introduction with the sales team. Marketing performance reporting - track and report on funnel metrics (leads generated, cost per lead, channel conversion, nurture engagement) and tie spend to lead and pipeline outcomes. Skills, Education, and Experience Requirements Knowledge of and experience with current paid media, social media, and CRM/marketing automation tool sets, including outbound email and campaign tools. Familiarity with website content management platforms, technical SEO practices, and analytics/reporting tools used to monitor search performance and on-site engagement. Working knowledge of design and creative tools sufficient to collaborate effectively with graphic and content creators, and to produce simple content independently. Understanding of B2B buyer journeys in cybersecurity, with the ability to design nurture strategies that convert engagement into sales-ready meetings. Comfortable initiating and maintaining prospect communications through marketing channels (email, social), extending into outbound sales-development activity when a prospect is ready to move forward. Proactive and innovative thinker, willing to take smart risks at the speed at which social and digital channels move, design and lead initiatives with confidence, and collaborate with internal teams, partners, and vendors. Interest in information technology and cybersecurity sectors, technologies, services, and trends. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree with a related emphasis. Minimum of 3–5 years of B2B marketing or corporate communications experience, including social media, digital marketing, and lead nurture campaign experience, required.
