Job Overview:

This role includes a sign-on bonus of $25,000.

We currently have full-time positions available that come with this bonus, as well as part-time and PRN roles that do not include the bonus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate basic clinical competencies in CT across various locations and patient demographics. Select appropriate technical parameters based on individual patient requirements and exhibit the necessary knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care. Follow Image Wisely and Image Gently guidelines to minimize radiation exposure. Perform IV access and administer contrast as per facility protocols. Assist with invasive procedures conducted under CT guidance.

  • Engage in departmental and organizational initiatives aimed at performance improvement and workflow optimization to enhance patient experience, quality, safety, operational efficiency, and overall care. Actively participate in training, onboarding, and educational activities for students and staff.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including the cleaning and preparation of patient rooms. Ensure adequate supplies and inventory in the assigned area. Prepare areas for contrast administration and invasive procedures using aseptic techniques and sterile processes in line with established protocols.

  • Transport patients to the CT scanner and set up the examination room. Confirm orders, patient preparation, and the rationale for the exam to ensure the correct scanning protocols are applied. Communicate effectively with patients by gathering medical histories, addressing inquiries, and explaining procedures to foster understanding, comfort, and cooperation. Process examinations for interpretation.

  • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of equipment by conducting quality control checks and promptly reporting any equipment or environmental issues.

  • Provide patient education and support, including preparing patients for procedures and addressing their physical and emotional needs. Escalate concerns through appropriate channels as necessary.

  • Manage patient flow and coordinate care through consistent and effective communication with patients, care teams, and families. Document patient care activities in relevant electronic health record systems and ensure timely distribution of final images to the PACS system for interpretation.

  • Consistently act and communicate in a professional manner, embodying the organization's values and fostering a respectful, supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. Adhere to ARRT Standards of Ethics.

Qualifications Education

  • Associate degree required;

  • Certification in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), or the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC) is required.

Experience
  • Less than 1 year to 6 months of CT experience required;

  • Completion of a CT certificate or cross-training program is preferred.

This position offers a salary range of USD $35.68 - USD $58.84 per hour.
