This Wisconsin-based, family-owned manufacturer builds filling and weighing equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical industries. They serve some of the largest food manufacturers in the world with custom, high-precision solutions. This is a fully on-site role. The environment is shop-floor adjacent -- office-based with regular time in the production area.

Type of Hire: Full time, Direct Hire

Controls Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Load, commission, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI programs on production filling and weighing machines
• Support field service technicians remotely via an internal remote access system
• Edit and debug PLC programs and perform hands-on electrical troubleshooting and wiring support
• Review client specifications and communicate with customers to resolve technical questions and installation issues
• Maintain documentation including electrical drawings in AutoCAD Electrical, service reports, and technical manuals

Schedule:

• 7am-3:30pm (Monday – Friday)
• No consistent nights or weekends.

Controls Engineer Job Requirements:

• 3 to 10 years of hands-on controls and electrical experience including PLC programming and electrical troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and ladder logic -- working knowledge required, not just familiarity
• Experience with Allen Bradley or Rockwell Automation platforms (Studio 5000, RSLogix, Factory Talk HMI) strongly preferred
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or comparable electrical drafting software
• Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers and field technicians

Pay: $95,000 - $110,000 annually
