Roadway Project Manager

Job Description Overview AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Roadway Project Manager to join our Raleigh, NC office. Your role Function as the project manager and/or roadway design lead for routine to semi‑complex projects. Responsibilities may include marketing, negotiating contracts, budgeting, financial management, schedule coordination and resource allocation. Provide the expertise of a seasoned engineer to all conventional aspects of functional area and apply advanced concepts and techniques to unconventional engineering problems. May function as individual researcher or technical specialist. Uphold engineering ethics and standards of conduct. Perform and supervise designs utilizing CAD. Plan and review the production of engineering drawings and specifications. Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost‑effective solution. Analyze technical problems, assess the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devise new approaches and alternative solutions. Assist other offices by providing design and plans production support. Coordinate work with other project managers and guide junior professionals and technical personnel on the design and drafting of preliminary and final plans. Be responsible for quality control, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, and checking computations or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others. Attend meetings with clients with other members of the project team. Organize or direct field visits to collect data or resolve design conflicts. Train less experienced junior professionals, designers and CAD technicians as required. Perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. About you B.S./M.S. in Civil Engineering. 10–15 years of experience in roadway design and local streets. PE required in NC. NCDOT experience. Experience using MicroStation and Open Roads Designer. Experience using AutoTURN. Good interpersonal skills. Incumbent may be eligible for project management training. Solid oral and written communication skills, capable of developing technical writing. Additional information Expected compensation range is between $140,000–160,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
