Rope Access Level II Technician with UT Thickness certificationIntertek is searching for a Rope Access Level II Technician with UT Thickness certification to join our Industry Services team in our Houston, Texas office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in Industry Services!The Rope Access Level II Technician with UT Thickness certification must have extensive NDE experience (Level I, II, or III certifications), will support the Industry Services business line by working for numerous clients at various offshore facilities in the Gulf of Mexico, with some land-based work as well. Reliable transportation is a must. Must be willing to work offshore on a long-term rotation in the Gulf of Mexico.What you’ll do:Perform various nondestructive examinations at various client facilities under the direction of a Project Manager, Team Leader, or independentlyMaintain climbing logbook per SPRAT/IRATA guidelinesPrepare NDE reports and document data in a clear and timely mannerInterface with clients on technical matters involving Rope Access and NDE procedures and capabilitiesProvide a professional appearance when interfacing with clients and other coworkersStay abreast of any new developments in NDE and Rope Access technologies that may be applicable in our businessApply examination criteria in accordance with applicable standards/specifications/procedures on the provided job scopes and evaluate test resultsMaintain open lines of communication with coworkers, clients, and subcontractorsOrganize and report test results and send information to office for data processingFollow technology advancements in the NDE/Rope Access industriesWhat is takes to be successful in this role:Current SPRAT/IRATA Certification (Level I, II, or III) requiredASNT Level II certification in UT-Thickness required; additional certifications, especially RT, preferredValid TWIC card requiredValid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)Able to pass physical examProficient with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to provide clear and technical guidance to other technicians and subcontractorsAbility to solve technical issues in the fieldWhy work at Intertek?Intertek is a world leader in the $250 billion Quality Assurance market, with a proven, high-quality business model and a global network of customer-focused operations and highly engaged subject matter experts.
