Job Summary: Join a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional nutritional services that enhance patient mealtime experiences. This role involves providing physician-ordered nutrition support while respecting individual dietary preferences and ensuring accurate menu handling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Call Center Specialist: Efficiently obtain and process meal orders from patients and visitors via telephone, ensuring orders align with dietary requirements. Maintain accurate electronic records and coordinate with production and tray line teams. Serve as a liaison between nutrition services, patients, and nursing units, addressing concerns and facilitating communication.
  • Room Service Specialist: Professionally serve meals, assist patients with meal ordering systems, and assess their ability to participate. Communicate effectively with nursing and dietitian staff, monitor patient needs during meal delivery, and maintain pantry supplies on nursing units.
  • Expeditor: Coordinate meal assembly during tray line processes, verify meal accuracy, ensure timely delivery to nursing units, and uphold food quality standards. Manage food handling and storage following safety guidelines and assist staff in maintaining patient satisfaction.
  • Food Service Starter: Initiate meal assembly, check food acceptability, replenish supplies, and operate cooking equipment safely. Follow recipes and plating guides, maintain sanitation and nutritional quality, and support overall food service operations including cleaning and delivering nourishment.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Previous experience in nutrition services or food service roles is beneficial but not mandatory.

This full-time position operates on the first shift within a healthcare setting located in a regional area of the Midwest United States. Scheduled weekly hours total 37.5.
