Project Executive

Gallo Mechanical is looking for a Mechanical Construction Project Executive to join our high performing team. As a Project Executive, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight for multiple large‑scale mechanical construction projects and project management teams. This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, client satisfaction, and team development across assigned projects. The Project Executive serves as a senior leader within the organization, driving business growth, risk management, and execution strategy aligned with Gallo Mechanical’s core values and performance standards. This role reports to our Vice President of Carolina Operations. Key Responsibilities Executive Project Leadership Provide oversight and direction for multiple complex mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Lead and mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and support staff. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Establish project execution strategies, staffing plans, and risk mitigation approaches. Maintain accountability for P&L performance across assigned projects. Review and approve budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and change orders. Monitor job cost performance, labor productivity, and procurement strategies. Identify and proactively mitigate financial and operational risks. Client & Business Development Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, and key stakeholders. Participate in pursuit strategy, preconstruction efforts, and executive‑level presentations. Support business development initiatives and strategic growth plans. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business. Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams on major pursuits. Review contract terms, scopes, and risk profiles prior to project award. Provide executive input on value engineering and constructability strategies. Safety & Quality Leadership Champion Gallo Mechanical’s safety culture and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. Promote continuous improvement in quality control processes and field execution. Talent Development & Culture Mentor and develop high-performing project management teams. Foster accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience). 10–15+ years of progressive experience in mechanical construction project management. Proven experience managing large‑scale commercial, healthcare, industrial, or mission‑critical mechanical projects. Demonstrated leadership of multiple project teams and oversight of multi‑million‑dollar portfolios. Strong financial acumen and experience managing project P&L. Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive‑level presentation skills. Proficiency in construction management software (Procore, Primavera, Microsoft Project, etc.). Preferred Qualifications Experience with design‑build and integrated project delivery (IPD). Background in strategic planning and operational leadership.
