Senior Director, Corporate Workplace and Facilities Management

At Spectrum, the Senior Director, Corporate Workplace and Facilities Management drives end-to-end operational excellence across a large, complex portfolio, delivering seamless property experiences and reliable systems. How You'll Make an Impact Lead the development and execution of strategic operational plans for building and property maintenance to enhance occupancy experiences across multiple corporate locations. Forecast, plan and implement property reinvestment strategies that ensure assets are safe, aligned with business requirements, and meet performance, safety, and reliability needs. Lead and support best-in-class facilities management practices to deliver efficient and optimized property operations, including managing expense and capital budgets to achieve optimal results aligned with the Total Cost of Occupancy methodology. Develop and oversee life safety and emergency preparedness programs in coordination with key operational groups. Collaborate with internal business partners to deliver comprehensive occupancy solutions and optimize real estate portfolios and planning. Develop positive relationships with internal leaders and external service providers to drive results that enhance occupancy experience. Guide and inspire a high-performing facilities management team while supporting their professional growth and productivity. Monitor team performance and productivity, provide frequent feedback to optimize the mission of a Facilities Management Center of Excellence. Apply key performance indicators and benchmarking to drive continuous improvement and operational reliability. Lead sourcing strategies and develop real estate operational best practices both locally and across the entire Spectrum real estate portfolio. Working Conditions Office-based role with 30% travel required Potential for overnight or multi-night trips to regional offices and out-of-town locations This position requires full-time, on-site presence with no remote or hybrid work options Availability to respond to after-hour emergencies What You'll Bring to Spectrum Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience Experience 12+ years of commercial real estate facilities or property management experience 10+ years managing large, complex real estate portfolios including office and multi-use properties 7+ years management or supervisory experience Additional diverse and cross-functional commercial real estate discipline experience expected Extensive cross-functional corporate real estate discipline experience Skills Proficiency in English communication Effective teamwork and results delivery in high-demand settings Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information Proactive problem-solving and advocacy for team and customer needs Advanced leadership, supervision and motivational skills Strong MS Office application skills Independent planning and prioritization abilities Expertise in real estate strategic planning and performance management Advanced financial acumen including budget development and ROI analysis Decision-making under pressure Ability to transform team focus and performance Effective interaction with all levels of stakeholders Completion of work responsibilities accurately and on time Strong verbal, written, analytical and persuasive abilities Client-focused mindset with hospitality interest General understanding of building construction and blueprint interpretation Initiative for continuous improvement and exceptional occupant experiences Expertise in KPIs and performance metrics through benchmarking Strong business sense and urgency for results Valid driver's license with satisfactory record Preferred Qualifications Experience managing multi-site corporate, retail, and other facilities operations Experience with capital projects, renovations, and workplace planning Experience with CMMS, IWMS, or other facilities technology platforms Professional certification such as CFM, FMP, SFP, BOMI, or PMP Knowledge of sustainability, energy management, and workplace strategy Experience leading vendor performance programs and service-level reporting
