Press Operators & Refinish Technicians (Fiberglass Finishers)Location: Grand Ledge, MISchedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM (10-hour shifts) with occasional overtimePay Rate: Starting at $18.20/hour | Increases based on attendance and performance after successful hire-in (480 hours)Employment Type: Temp-to-HireAbout the RoleCardinal Staffing is seeking dependable and motivated Press Operators and Refinish Technicians (Fiberglass Finishers) for a leading fiberglass and composite manufacturing company in Grand Ledge, MI.These are hands-on manufacturing positions involving fiberglass production, industrial press operation, sanding, grinding, surface preparation, polishing, buffing, and finishing molded parts.Candidates with experience in automotive manufacturing, auto body repair, collision repair, paint preparation, industrial finishing, machine operation, fabrication, fiberglass repair, or working with hand and power tools are encouraged to apply.Team members will work with fiberglass and composite materials while following production specifications, maintaining quality standards, and operating safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Candidates should be comfortable working around fiberglass and resin odors, performing repetitive physical work, and following detailed work instructions.Key ResponsibilitiesRefinish Technician / Fiberglass FinisherSand, grind, trim, polish, and buff fiberglass and composite parts to achieve the required surface finish.Identify and correct cosmetic defects, rough edges, surface imperfections, and other quality concerns.Use hand tools and power tools, including sanders, grinders, and other finishing equipment.Perform surface preparation, refinishing, and minor repair work on molded fiberglass components.Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet customer specifications and quality standards.Maintain an organized workstation while meeting daily production goals.Press Operator / Manufacturing Machine OperatorOperate industrial presses and molding equipment to manufacture fiberglass components.Prepare molds and position fiberglass materials according to production requirements.Assist with measuring, mixing, and pouring resin materials.Monitor production equipment and inspect molded parts for quality.Follow detailed work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures.Complete production documentation and maintain a clean and organized work area.Job RequirementsPrevious experience in manufacturing, production, machine operation, fiberglass finishing, auto body repair, or industrial finishing preferred.Experience using hand tools and power tools, including sanders, grinders, drills, or similar equipment, preferred.Comfortable working around fiberglass, composite materials, and resin odors.Ability to lift up to 45 pounds repeatedly (team lifting required for heavier items).Ability to stand, bend, lift, twist, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.Strong attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and commitment to quality.Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.Ability to follow written work instructions, production specifications, and safety procedures.Why Work With Us?Competitive weekly payHire-in opportunity after 480 hoursMedical, dental, vision & prescription benefitsHealth & wellness programs, including an Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Sick time, PTO & retirement savings (where applicable)Dedicated recruiter support and employee advocacyHiring ProcessQualified candidates are submitted to the client for review.Selected candidates are invited for an interview and facility tour.Candidates who receive an offer will complete the required Mineral Training.The client will provide the official start date after training is completed.Cardinal Staffing will review timekeeping procedures and provide the timesheet template before the first day of work.Next StepsIf you meet the qualifications and are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your updated resume or contact Julie at View phone number on click.appcast.io for more information.About Cardinal Staffing ServicesCardinal Staffing Services, Inc. has over 30 years of experience as a leader in the staffing industry.
