Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Unit

Location: Corpus Christi, TX

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night Shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg unit, collaborating effectively with team members to ensure optimal outcomes for patients. The nurse will manage 4-6 patients at a time, performing standard nursing skills and maintaining communication with the care team.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop patient care plans.
• Administer medications and perform IV insertions and urinary catheter insertions.
• Maintain central line and provide ongoing patient education.
• Document care activities accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN License.
• Minimum of 1+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year.
• Ability to care for 4-6 patients simultaneously.
• Preferred: 2+ years of Med/Surg experience, particularly with ortho or neuro-surgery backgrounds.
