About the Role:
Steven D Darmstadt DDS Inc is looking for a skilled and dedicated Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team in Anaheim, CA! This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside an experienced oral surgeon in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where your expertise truly makes a difference.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and biopsies
• Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and maintain a clean, organized operatory
• Take and process dental X-rays, including panoramic and periapical imaging
• Monitor and support patients during pre-op, procedure, and post-op recovery
• Document patient records, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately
• Educate patients on post-operative care and answer follow-up questions
• Manage surgical supply inventory and ensure proper equipment maintenance

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a dental or oral surgery assistant strongly preferred
• Dental Assistant certification or RDA license preferred in California
• X-ray certification (Radiation Safety) required
• Familiarity with oral surgery procedures, instruments, and terminology
• CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain upon hire
• Strong chairside manner with a compassionate, patient-centered approach
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
