Registered Nurse (RN) - Short Stay

Registered Nurse Preoperative/Pediatric

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 Contract Weeks: 13

Requirements:

• Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent: Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
• Completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia class with passing score: Required
• Minimum 6 months experience in medical surgical nursing in last 2 years: Preferred
• Minimum of one year experience in pre and post-op diagnostic cath lab: Preferred
• Current RN license in state of practice: Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor per policy: Required

Responsibilities:

• Provide pre and post operative/procedure care across diverse age groups.
• Utilize technical skills and assessments to ensure quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Recognize and respond to symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and other emergencies.
• Accurately interpret ECG rhythms and manage care during life-threatening situations.
• Review medical history and assessment data to inform care planning.
• Delegate patient care tasks appropriately based on competency.
