We are looking for a licensed attorney to join a Contract opportunity in Wakefield, Massachusetts, supporting a practice focused on residential real estate matters while building capability in trust and estate and probate work. This role is well suited for an attorney who wants hands-on exposure to property transfers involving estates and is eager to develop broader experience in estate planning and estate administration. The position offers a strong learning environment for someone with several years of practice who is interested in expanding into adjacent areas of law.

Responsibilities:
• Manage residential real estate transactions connected to estate matters, including transfers arising from probate and related proceedings.
• Prepare, review, and revise legal documents associated with property sales, probate filings, and estate-related transactions.
• Represent estates in real estate sale matters and help guide transactions from initial review through closing.
• Support trust and estate planning work under the guidance of senior attorneys, building knowledge across probate and estate administration.
• Draft motions and other court-ready documents required for probate matters and related legal proceedings.
• Coordinate with clients, title professionals, courts, and other parties to keep matters moving efficiently and accurately.
• Analyze legal issues affecting residential and commercial real estate matters when they intersect with estate administration.
• Maintain organized case records and ensure filings, deadlines, and transactional documents are handled with care and precision.• Active license to practice law in good standing.
• Approximately 2 to 6 years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to real estate, probate, or estate administration matters.
• Demonstrated ability to draft motions and other formal legal documents with accuracy and clarity.
• Background in residential real estate transactions; familiarity with commercial real estate is a plus.
• Interest in developing skills in trust and estate planning and probate practice.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills for working with clients, courts, and cross-functional external stakeholders.
