Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Engineer Mechanical to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role is located in Melbourne, FL. In this role, the successful candidate will research, plan, design and develop mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. Key Responsibilities Review, track, and modify test station design documents as necessary. Generate and track Bill of Materials (BOMs), schedule, and execution of test station development Coordinate with a multi-discipline team (supply chain, operations, QA, etc.) to ensure a quality product is built and remains on schedule and within budget Develop and perform Acceptance Test Procedures for test stations. Basic Qualifications Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 years of related professional/military experience Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company. Must have knowledge of NX Design tool or other Mechanical design tools. Must have understanding of test engineering concepts Preferred Qualifications MS in Mechanical/Systems/STEM Engineering Active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance Experience with test equipment, such as, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, etc Experience with test station design and development Experience with creating and maintaining BOMs (Bill of Materials) Experience developing and executing ATPs (Acceptance Test Procedures) Experience as Mechanical Designer Manufacturing/liaison support experience is also desired to support build and installation of assemblies as well as testing of aircraft systems. #Yellow Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
