**Experience and Qualifications:** - Minimum of 2 years experience required - Previous charge experience preferred - Patient ratio experience: 4 - Travel experience is not specifically required - 18 months experience required, exceptions possible based on the unit **Required Skills:** - General Emergency Department (combined adult/pediatric) - Cardiac monitoring and emergency response (interpretation and management of dysrhythmias) - IV Therapy/Phlebotomy (starting IVs, phlebotomy, blood product administration, central line care/management) - Medications (continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration) - Neurological/Psychiatric (CVA - cerebrovascular accident) - Professional topics and skills (isolation precautions, triage) - Additional specific skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, gunshot wounds care, head injury, interpretation of arterial blood gases, near drowning, neuro-trauma, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, traumatic amputation, traumatic brain injury. **Certifications:** - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred **Licensure:** - License must be in hand prior to start date - Temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications have been submitted **Additional Requirements:** - Must have two supervisor references - Must be accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation - Candidates must float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital/s nearby - Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays **Other Details:** - Scheduling: 3x12 shifts only - Local applicants for ER positions are not accepted - COVID-19 vaccine is not required - Flu vaccine status is unknown
