Position Overview:

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support commercial construction projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have mission-critical or data center construction experience .

The Project Engineer will coordinate project controls, administration, and document management while supporting contract compliance, procurement, scheduling, cost control, quality, billing, and project closeout .

Local Oklahoma-based candidates are strongly preferred. Candidates should be able to work at the Muskogee project location on a daily basis. Relocation or travel candidates will be considered only after local recruiting efforts have been exhausted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage RFIs, submittals, project logs, meeting minutes, correspondence, and document control .
  • Perform constructability and construction-document reviews and identify scope gaps or discrepancies.
  • Maintain procurement and submittal logs , with particular attention to long-lead equipment.
  • Support subcontractor scope development, buyout, onboarding, and compliance tracking.
  • Assist with budgets, commitments, change management, EAC/CTC forecasting, and financial reporting .
  • Coordinate billing backup, lien waivers, and physical-progress documentation.
  • Support project schedule updates, look-ahead planning, and delay/recovery documentation.
  • Maintain QA/QC records, testing documentation, turnover packages, O&Ms, warranties, as-builts, and closeout documentation .
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to maintain project progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering , or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • commercial construction or project engineer ing experience preferred.
  • Experience with mission-critical, data center, or other complex commercial construction projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong construction-document management and project software skills.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ability to work regularly at an active construction site.
