Inventory Control Coordinator

Purpose: this position exists to ensure the integrity and reliability of the inventory status database and recommend effective physical stock keeping of production materials enabling Manufacturing to achieve the master production schedule.

- Maintain valid, accurate and up-to-date database information in assigned areas by utilizing cycle counts, system reports, queries, ECNs and item masters.
- Perform or coordinate analytical studies of inventory performance.
- Performs root cause analysis for all cycle counts and maintains current IRA reporting, including distribution of weekly IRA Reports.
- Conducts weekly reviews of finalized IRA reports in Operations meetings and communicates corrective actions to Engineering, Materials, and Production personnel.
- Coordinate with other Material Management team to efficiently plan materials (box quantity, sequencing, bin location, etc.)
- Functions as the first point of contact for all incoming/outgoing transfer requests.
- Functions as the first point of contact for the production line on inventory issues.
- Maintain accurate balance on hand records by properly recording material movement in and out of assigned storage locations.
- Determine and maintain the proper amount of storage and arrangement of facilities for efficiencies in assigned areas while maintaining the location information in the database.
- Process interplant transfers, scraps, rejections, inventory journals and return goods requests to support the Materials Management function.
- Assist/Lead in planning, organizing and directing physical counts and data entry activities required for physical inventory. (Subwip, open Minmax).
- Serves as lead for Quarterly Cycle Count Audits.
- Implement and maintain min/max system in assigned areas, including auditing procedures and training personnel as required.
- Plan and execute the inventory control aspects of projects.
- Supply production with parts books, labels, bins, etc.
- Responsible for after-hour transfers (line to line).
- Participate in Obsolete Inventory resolutions.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus at college or technical training desired.
- Knowledge of RV products and manufacturing processes is required.
- Materials management experience desired.
- Understanding of closed loop MRP system in a manufacturing environment is required, including functions of inventory control, cycle counting and receiving.
- Ability to acquire an understanding of the company's relational database & analytical tools to improve inventory management information, systems and procedures.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Critical thinking ability, problem sensitivity, and inductive reasoning skills.
- Active listening & excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate both verbally & in writing.
- Monitor to make improvements or take corrective action.
- Ability to work with Manufacturing and other personnel to resolve material issues impacting the production floor.
- Must comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures.
- This position may require sitting, standing, working in front of a computer monitor approximately 50% of the day and working in non-controlled environmental conditions approximately 50% of the workday.
- This position may require the ability to travel between field locations occasionally.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 25 pounds frequently.
- This position is a full-time position, which may require some flexibility in hours and days worked.
- Regular attendance is a job requirement.
