• Shift: Clinic hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm; Night call 5:00 pm – 8:30 am; 24-hour weekend call
• Hours per week: Approximately 40–45 hours including on-call shifts
• Employment Type: Locum (Per diem)
• Certifications Needed: DEA, FLURO certification, Board Certified or truly Board Eligible within 3-5 years post-residency
• Experience: Experience in complex spine cases preferred; minimum 2 years current hospital clinical activity in Neurosurgery required

What You’ll Do

• Cover inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery cases at a busy hospital in Eureka
• Be available for clinic consultations, procedures, and complex spine surgeries
• Participate in weeknight and weekend on-call responsibilities (night beeper and 24-hour weekend call)
• Ensure timely documentation and case management per hospital policies
• Collaborate with neurosurgery team to deliver quality patient care
• Adhere to all credentialing and privileging requirements

What You Need

• Valid California medical license and DEA registration
• Board Certified in Neurosurgery or highly eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Fluoro certification (can hold temporary)
• Proven experience with complex spine cases (minimum 2 years hospital-based)
• Ability to handle high-acuity cases and work flexible hours during coverage periods
