Event Server - Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden

We are seeking additional Event Servers to help facilitate Gils events and to provide Front of House support at events. Responsibilities include setting tables and buffet stations, assisting with event setup and breakdown, and serving and clearing food and beverages using proper techniques. Event Servers maintain a clean, professional work environment, coordinate with team members to ensure seamless service, and present a polished, professional appearance at all times. This position will be stationed out of the Gil’s Elegant Catering facility located in Grand Prairie, TX. Duties may include but are not limited to: Ensure the setting of tables completely according to diagram and/or sample table. Responsible for setting buffet stations which may include décor. Assist in the unloading/loading of off-premise event trucks. Serve and clear food and beverage quietly, professionally, and quickly, using proper serving and clearing techniques. Keep work area clean, and coordinate actions with the banquet team members, and all other members of the front and back of the house to ensure flawless customer service. Maintain good grooming and personal hygiene. Performs other related duties as required QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Experience in food & beverage or hospitality is preferred Must be comfortable commuting to Grand Prairie, TX. Specialized Qualifications: Excellent listening and communication skills Renowned time management and organization skills Strong Customer Service skills with the desire to go above and beyond a client’s needs The ability to work alone and as a team Strong attention to detail and the ability to learn and adapt quickly Work Environment This position may report to the Gil’s Elegant Catering facility or directly report to event locations. This position will require traversing different terrains while lifting and moving product, equipment, and food items. This position could also drive or ride to events across the greater Atlanta region where the work environments may be buildings, temporary structures, or outdoors. Uniform Requirements Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines. Non-slip shoes are necessary. Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of standing, moving through an event space, and traveling from venue to venue Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 30 lbs.
