Athletic Office Assistant

The person in this position has the responsibility for assisting the Athletic Administrator with general office administrative duties; to include but not be limited to accessing student records and entering data onto the computer, greeting the public and students in the reception area, and communicating with athletic vendors, coaches and students. Other duties as assigned by the Administrator.

Minimum qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite software High level of professionalism and confidentiality Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and positive working relationships Strong verbal and written communication skills Exemplary organization skills Experience working with Student-Athletes, Coaches and understanding High School Athletics preferred

Job duties and responsibilities include: Must have the ability to organize work, maintain accurate records and be able to work independently Demonstrate strong typing, data entry, and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Assist with all general duties in the office and be flexible with work assignments Communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally with administrators, staff, parents, and students Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive student and family information Work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities It is necessary for this person to be able to deal diplomatically with administrators, teachers, parents, coaches and students in all forms of communication Basic accounting/bookkeeping skills and knowledge of the MI-Star system is preferred Perform other duties as assigned

This is a Level II, 42 - week position working 4 hours/day. Salary and benefits will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement between the Livonia Public Schools School District and the Livonia Secretarial Association, Michigan Education Association.
