The colleges serve as a pillar of education and innovation for the community and state. Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Police Officer role located in Tempe, AZ. The Police Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of students, employees, and visitors on campus. Duties include enforcing laws and regulations, managing emergency situations, conducting investigations, gathering and documenting evidence, preventing illegal activities, and fostering positive relationships with the campus community. Officers work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies as required. Qualifications Proficiency in Law Enforcement and Police procedures Experience with Criminal Investigations and handling Evidence Understanding of principles and practices related to Police Officers’ duties Strong communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills Ability to maintain composure in high‑pressure or emergency situations Relevant certifications or training in law enforcement, public safety, or criminal justice Prior law enforcement experience or knowledge of community policing is a plus Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check and fitness assessment #J-18808-Ljbffr Maricopa Community Colleges
