Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Critical Care and PACU License: Temporary or Permanent Nursing License in Minnesota Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: - 2 years of Critical Care experience (ICU/ED) - 2 years of PACU experience - Previous travel experience - Epic experience - Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms - Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient populations - Trauma Level I experience - Work history documentation - Skills checklist current to 1 year, relevant to specialty - 2 supervisory references with employment dates listed Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) provides holistic care to patients and families. The focus is on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as described in standards specific to the assigned service area. The RN will provide care across all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults. The RN executes the standards of nursing practice, which include assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN develops and revises the patient care plan and coordinates care among disciplines, delegating activities as appropriate. The RN participates in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices. Through active participation and personal leadership, the RN defines, implements, and improves practice standards and the care environment. Responsibilities may vary based on assigned units, and specific clinical skills may be required. The RN must adhere to unit-based skill expectations beyond the general RN requirements. A temporary Minnesota nursing license is accepted if the applicant has applied for a permanent license and possesses the temporary license at the time of application.
