The Emergency Department is a fast-paced unit. The department is equipped for critical care. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 to 1:5. The patient population includes ages from birth to death. Common diagnoses and treatments include strokes, STEMIs, and trauma. Candidates should possess an energetic and knowledgeable personality. Additional floating responsibilities may require helping in areas of competency.
