Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Port Charlotte, Florida.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Physical Therapist\n Discipline: Therapy\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 40 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Assignment Overview\n \n Shift: Days, 5x8hrs\n Hours: 40 hrs/wk\n Start Date: Aug 18, 2026\n Length: 13 weeks\n Openings: 1\n Description\n American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an inpatient acute care setting requiring a valid Florida PT license and acute care experience.Details\n \n Inpatient Physical Therapy unit within a 253-bed acute care hospital, including a 20-bed Inpatient Rehab unit\n Works across all floors (1-4) of the main hospital building\n Team of about 20 PT caregivers, with PT, OT, and SLP staff on day shift\n Typical caseload of 9-10 patients per day at a 75% productivity standard\n Uses mobility equipment for patient treatment\n Charts in Meditech EMR\n Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM\n Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees\n Requirements\n \n Minimum 1 year of recent experience required\n Valid Florida PT license required, if applicable\n MPT or DPT degree from an accredited college or university required\n Acute care experience required\n Meditech EMR experience preferred\n ICU experience preferred\n Strong collaborative, outgoing, and communication skills preferred\n Additional Information\n \n Main responsibilities include performing PT evaluations and treatments\n Navy blue, Caribbean blue, black, khaki, grey, or ciel blue scrub colors may apply depending on department\n Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted\n No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months\n \n \n American Traveler Job ID #P-744289.
