Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Jackson & Coker is seeking a Board Certified Cardiac Anesthesiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Michigan, offering ongoing coverage starting ASAP. This role involves a mix of weekday shifts with call and weekend call, focusing on cardiac and general adult OR cases. The position provides an excellent opportunity to work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting a cardiothoracic surgeon. Practice Info Outpatient and inpatient practice setting 12 operating rooms, 1 cystoscopy room, plus out-of-OR procedures requiring anesthesia Approximately 10 heart cases per month and 4–5 TAVR procedures per month Mix of general adult OR cases when cardiac cases are not scheduled Supporting 1 cardiothoracic surgeon Physicians perform their own cases Trauma Level 3 24-hour CRNA coverage as first call, including OB Responsibilities Perform cardiac and general adult OR cases Serve as second call to in-house CRNAs for weekday and weekend call Handle occasional planned heart cases on weekends, approximately once per month Benefits Top-rated malpractice insurance Full-service in-house travel agency and credentialing coordinators 24/7 recruiter availability Shift & Schedule ASAP – Ongoing Two weeks per month Weekday xmvmafu shifts with call required Three 10-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts each week, Monday through Friday One weekend of 24-hour call required during one of the two-week stretches Weekday and weekend call is unrestricted Average callback approximately 2 hours per weekend Requirements Board Certified Active Michigan license Minimum 3 years of experience ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
