Responsibilities
- Prepare and process tissue samples for microscopic examination.
- Perform embedding, sectioning, staining, and mounting of tissue specimens.
- Operate and maintain histology laboratory equipment .
- Ensure quality control and compliance with lab safety regulations .
- Assist pathologists in diagnostic evaluations .
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
- Travel to different healthcare facilities for temporary assignments .
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology or a related field.
- Certification: ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a histology laboratory.
- Skills: Proficiency in tissue processing, staining techniques, and microscopy .
- Travel Readiness: Willingness to take on travel assignments and relocate as needed.
