Compensation : $48,000 to $52,000

Role Summary


We are seeking a Cash Posting Specialist to support a growing Accounts Receivable team during a significant business expansion initiative. This position plays a critical role in ensuring payments are accurately applied, discrepancies are resolved efficiently, and customer accounts remain current and accurate.


The ideal candidate will bring experience in cash applications or accounts receivable, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external customers. Key Responsibilities
• Accurately post ACH payments, checks, credit card payments, wire transfers, and commercial deposits to customer accounts
• Apply cash receipts to the appropriate invoices using ERP and banking platforms
• Research and resolve unapplied cash, short pays, overpayments, chargebacks, and payment discrepancies
• Communicate with internal departments and customers to ensure timely payment application
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of manual cash posting transactions
• Process live checks through banking lockbox systems
• Distribute notifications regarding payment variances and exceptions
• Support departmental goals, deadlines, and continuous process improvement initiatives


Key Requirements
• 1+ years of experience in cash applications, cash posting, accounts receivable, or a related accounting function
• High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• Experience working with ERP systems such as JD Edwards or similar platforms
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and transaction processing
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Demonstrated job stability and dependability in previous positions
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork, accountability, and willingness to learn
