Children's Choice After Care Inc in DeKalb, IL is looking for a passionate and energetic After School Care Assistant to join our team! Responsibilities:

• Supervise and engage children in safe, structured after school activities
• Assist with homework help and academic support for school-age children
• Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and recreational activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe childcare environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during pick-up
• Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies
• Follow all childcare safety protocols and emergency procedures

Requirements:

• Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, education, or camp setting
• Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with kids
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to pass a background check
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in education or child development a plus
