Behavioral Health Technician IIReports To: Program SupervisorDepartment: Tellurian Care CenterFLSA Status: Non-ExemptTravel: 10%Job Status: Full-TimeShift/Schedule: 40 hours per weekPosition SummaryUnder supervision, the Behavioral Health Technician II is responsible for assisting with the daily functions of the program and client care within a treatment team model. The Behavioral Health Technician II, following program policies and procedures, provides direct services to clients and follows through on previously determined AODA/Mental Health goals. The Behavioral Health Technician II must conduct themselves in an ethical and professional manner in keeping with program and company philosophies and policies. High-quality professional relationships as exemplified by honesty, respect, and fairness must be maintained at all times.Reasonable Accommodations StatementPersons occupying this position must be able to perform all essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.Essential FunctionsFollow all written program policies and procedures.Process admissions; review client’s rights and responsibilities, check belongings, and conduct a urine analysis for all incoming clients.Provide daily direct client care.Administer medications to clients and document in the Electronic Health Record.Documentation of services provided and any observed adverse incidents.Actively participate in shift crossover/report.Ensure each client receives a discharge summary and leaves with all their belongings and medications.Maintain a safe, secure, clean environment for clients and staff.Maintain familiarity with client AODA/Mental Health treatment/service plan goals.Support clients in working toward their treatment goals.Intervene in crisis situations.Plan and participate in recreation and other activities with clients.Using the company vehicle, transport clients to appointments, meetings, or organized events as neededPerform all other duties deemed appropriate by the Supervisor.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a human services-related fieldValid Driver's LicenseGood written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of MS Office, Word, and Excel programsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to lift 15-20lbs.Position must pass a drug screen and criminal background check and be free of offenses prohibiting employment under HSF12 at the time of employment, and annually thereafter. #J-18808-Ljbffr
