Dietitian-Bariatric Services- 16 hours/week

Responsibilities Provide medical nutrition therapy and evaluate effectiveness of treatments. Assess patients for nutritional status and provide interventions, including diet therapy, counseling, or specialized nutrition supplements; collaborate with physicians, nursing, and ancillary services such as speech therapy or physical therapy. Monitor tolerance and effectiveness of the nutritional regimen and recommend therapy adjustments as necessary. Provide nutrition information to the community, which may include public speaking, news releases, and other publication forms. Research and take initiative to resolve nutrition care related complaints and problems. Assist in monitoring meals, including intake, diet compliance, and tray accuracy, and maintain sanitation of food preparation areas through planned and unannounced inspections. Schedule & Location Schedule: 16 hours weekly Location: Madison Heights, MI Department: Bariatric Clinic Certification / Licences Required Dietitian/Nutritionist credentialed from the Commission on Dietetic Registration obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required; Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Educator specializing in Diabetes Management preferred. Education / Experience Required High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. Bariatric experience preferred.
