, Permanent Progeny HR Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at the Cardiovascular Operating Room in Salem, VA. As a full-time, permanent employee, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Responsibilities: - Prepare operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment - Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies - Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout surgery - Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary supplies and equipment - Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes - Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment for sterilization - Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery - Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures - Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols - Continuously update knowledge and skills through ongoing education and training Qualifications: - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification - Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting - Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills - Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move heavy equipment - Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call as needed We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within our organization.
