Work Environment Working remotely from the comfort of your home, you will engage with clients primarily through our telehealth platform, ensuring they receive the quality support they need wherever they are located. You will interact with clients from diverse backgrounds, addressing a variety of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to trauma and relationship issues. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to formulate individualized therapeutic strategies tailored to each client's unique needs. Deliver evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to clients of all ages. Facilitate therapy sessions for individuals, families, couples, and groups, fostering an environment of open communication and support. Maintain meticulous documentation of clinical records, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards within the mental health field. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, actively participating in case discussions to ensure comprehensive client care. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and continued education to stay current with the latest mental health research and practices. Patient Population / Client Focus The counseling services at Head Start Youth Counseling Center cater to a wide range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health challenges. Our clinical team is dedicated to delivering specialized support tailored to the individual needs of each client, ensuring accessibility and efficacy through telehealth methods. As an LPC, you will work closely with clients dealing with family dynamics, substance misuse, trauma, and many other issues—each requiring a unique therapeutic approach. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia. Minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is required. Strong background in applying a variety of treatment modalities, including family therapy and trauma-informed care. Preferred Experience Experience in specific areas such as couples therapy, substance misuse counseling, or trauma recovery will be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a diverse client base and collaborate with healthcare teams. A robust understanding of legal and ethical standards applicable to counseling practices. Compensation and Benefits Head Start Youth Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
