Will also provide strategic and technical panning and oversight on migration of multiple suites of application portfolios to the cloud, helping to implement efficient, scalable and cost-effective solutions.Responsibilities and Duties:Create and maintain architecture strategy, policies, guiding principles and standards for the enterprise.Create architecture models that support client’s strategies and goals while reducing risk.Create and implement a technical vision supported by a multi-year plan/roadmap.Evaluate and recommend optimal solutions within technology architecture.Identify ways to reduce IT costs and increase operational capability and efficiency.Identify ways to increase team’s knowledge and skills to support future growth.Provide architecture and systems processing guidance to development teams.Lead workshops, decision meetings, collaborative sessions, and executive briefings for broad range of Enterprise Architecture and IT enabling topics.Stay current on emerging technologies and their practical application to current and emerging business needs.Participate in design, development, and maintenance of solution architecturesConduct meetings with IT leadership and IT personnel from the client and other government organizationsSkills and Abilities:Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering.Ability to understand and envision the interaction of multiple components of the IT enterprise.Knowledge of the Cloud computing stack and Cloud architecture concepts, including virtualization, containerization, infrastructure as code, and cloud security.Knowledge of service-oriented architecture.Experience with Linux VM’s, Windows VMs, .NET Framework, Java, Middleware and COTS integration.Experience with Database Systems including Oracle, MS SQL Server, and MariaDBExperience in planning a Highly Available Architecture and Disaster RecoveryStrong customer service orientation; ability to collaborate and influence.Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal and written communications. Comfortable delivering and presenting to client senior executives and stakeholdersMust Have QualificationsCloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cloud Certified Professional or related.5+ years of IT experience in engineering / architecting enterprise IT applications. 5+ years of experience developing systems in a large multi-tier distributed architecture.5+ years of experience with developing business, systems, and data architecture models.5+ years of experience with software engineering with development skills in the J2EE, XML & SOA.3+ years of experience with public, private, and hybrid Cloud services.Experience migrating applications to a cloud environment.Experience with mobile applications and data analyticsEducationBachelor’s degree in computer science or related field. **This position requires US Citizenship to obtain the public trust clearance**This position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
