Network Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days in office) with a Global Financial Institution located in New Jersey, North Carolina, or Texas. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Seeking a Network Engineer with hands-on deployment experience to design and implement LAN, WAN, and Datacenter solutions in a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hardware replacement and installation, particularly with ARISTA and Cisco products, and possess the ability to design robust network solutions. Experience in the financial services industry is highly desirable.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement LAN/WAN/Datacenter solutions
• Perform hardware replacements and installations
• Configure and manage routing and switching platforms, including Cisco Nexus and Arista product lines
• Implement IP routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• Develop and deploy DDoS mitigation strategies and configure ACLs
• Focus on network deployment and solution design over troubleshooting

Requirements:

• 3+ Years of experience designing and implementing LAN/WAN/ Datacenter solutions for large enterprise environments
• 3+ years of experience with IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, Static) specializing in implanting DDoS mitigation strategies and configuring ACLs in a large enterprise environment
• 3+ years of networking engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, military experience, education
• 3+ years of experience with configuration of routing and switching latest platforms and solutions- Cisco Nexus and/or Arista product line

Desired Skills:

• CCNA, CCNP/DP or CCIE Certification preferred – Datacenter
• Bachelor Degree in Computer science/ engineering
• Demonstrated skill with creating and/or updating technical design documentation used by engineering teams
• Experience working in a product/agile environment utilizing Atlassian Jira products
• Experience and familiarity with change control processes such as ServiceNow
• Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and relationship building skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Visio Professional
• Experience with regulatory and auditory collaboration
• Experience preferred with scripting YAML/ Python/ Ansible/ GITHUB
• Ability to make decisions quickly in high-volume hosting environments
• Ability to solve complex problems and analyze issues
• Ability to coordinate, document and drive flawless execution

Pay range: $43.13 - $51.13 per hour
