As a vital member of our firm, you will work closely with our lead attorneys—reporting directly to senior management—to manage case files, draft legal documents, and perform comprehensive legal research. This role is critical in ensuring that our legal operations are executed with precision and consistency. We are seeking not only a skilled professional but also someone who is committed to a long-term career with our organization. If you are looking for a stable opportunity where you can grow and contribute over the years, we want to hear from you. Case Management Maintain accurate case activity, deadlines, and task management within PracticePanther, ensuring all filings, communications, and case milestones are properly documented. Support attorneys in managing civil litigation matters by preparing filings, organizing discovery materials, coordinating deadlines, and ensuring cases move forward without unnecessary delays. Manage cases from early stages through resolution by maintaining organization, documentation, and workflow discipline. Track and enter billable time consistently and accurately, maintaining disciplined timekeeping practices aligned with the firm's performance expectations. Coordinate with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to ensure filings, deadlines, and case developments are properly communicated and documented. Legal Drafting & Documentation Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and other litigation documents with a strong attention to detail. Prepare exhibits, affidavits, and supporting documentation required for filings and hearings. File documents through the Florida E-Filing Portal accurately and in compliance with court requirements. Legal Research Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis or similar legal research platforms. Properly cite legal authority and summarize relevant case law to assist attorneys in case preparation and litigation strategy. Client Communication & File Support Maintain consistent communication with clients to gather documentation and provide updates as needed. Ensure case files remain organized, current, and easily accessible for attorneys and staff. Deadline & Workflow Management Track and manage litigation deadlines, hearings, discovery responses, and case milestones. Maintain strong organization across multiple active files and ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Professional Ownership & Accountability Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work product. Identify potential issues in case files, deadlines, or documentation early and bring solutions or corrective actions forward before problems escalate. Approach your work as a steward of the firm's reputation and legal standards. What We're Looking For Experience: 3–5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm environment. Experience working within legal case management systems such as PracticePanther or similar and Lead Docket or similar, with the ability to manage tasks, deadlines, and case information accurately. Experience supporting civil litigation matters (including discovery, motion practice, and court filings) is strongly preferred but not required for the right candidate. Ability to manage a high-volume caseload (often 40–80 active matters) while maintaining organization, accuracy, and deadline discipline. Documented paralegal certification strongly preferred. Litigation Drafting Ability Strong legal writing skills with experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other litigation documents. Attention to Detail Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy across multiple case files and deadlines. Ownership Mentality A self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and does not require constant direction. Analytical Thinking Strong ability to review case materials, identify important facts, and ensure documentation is accurate and complete. Organization & Time Management Ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining organization, prioritization, and accuracy. Communication Skills Clear and professional written and verbal communication with clients, attorneys, and court personnel. Professional Discipline Calm, focused, and reliable under pressure, with a commitment to producing high-quality legal work. Why You Should Work Here Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy health insurance, 401(k) matching up to 4%, three weeks of PTO annually, and more. Ownership and Responsibility: We trust our team members to take ownership of their work. As a Litigation Paralegal, you will have the autonomy to manage case files, maintain deadlines, and contribute meaningfully to the success of the legal team. A Professional, Growth-Oriented Environment: Join a firm that values professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement. You will work alongside experienced attorneys in an environment that encourages strong work ethic, skill development, and pride in producing high-quality legal work.
