Warehouse Operations Supervisor

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing multiple warehouse functions and leading daily operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, safety, and exceptional customer service. This position provides leadership for shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment activities while supporting operational goals across distribution, surplus, repair, and small-parts divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise warehouse personnel across shipping, receiving, inventory, and fulfillment operations
• Ensure warehouse inventory is stored, organized, and maintained efficiently
• Oversee daily staffing levels and scheduling to meet operational demands
• Manage workloads and priorities to ensure timely completion of all warehouse activities
• Monitor labor utilization and overtime to ensure efficient resource management
• Drive departmental performance and achievement of operational goals and budgets
• Maintain clean, organized, and efficient warehouse and storage areas
• Ensure accurate and timely receiving, stocking, and processing of incoming inventory
• Oversee order fulfillment activities for Distribution, FNFP, Surplus, Small Parts, and Repair divisions
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, staging, and shipment of customer orders
• Monitor and improve inventory accuracy through reconciliation, auditing, and cycle count processes
• Investigate and resolve inventory, shipping, receiving, and fulfillment discrepancies
• Implement and maintain warehouse best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with Operations, Production, Inventory, and Customer Service teams to support business objectives
• Perform other duties, tasks, or work as assigned

Safety Responsibilities

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the warehouse. Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety policies. Conduct ongoing safety training and employee awareness initiatives. Identify and address workplace hazards proactively. Ensure proper use of warehouse equipment and personal protective equipment.

Metrics & Performance Measurements

Achievement of warehouse productivity, accuracy, and service-level goals. Inventory accuracy and reconciliation performance. On-time receiving and order fulfillment metrics. Departmental performance against established objectives and quarterly goals. Successful management of daily operational demands and special projects.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Shipping & Receiving Team. Parts Department Team. Additional warehouse personnel as assigned.

Qualifications

Prior warehouse supervisory or leadership experience required. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and accountability. Computer literate and comfortable working with warehouse management systems. Technical aptitude and operational awareness preferred.

Strong computer proficiency. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead, coach, and develop employees. Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and fulfillment processes.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Warehouse, logistics, inventory, or distribution experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Forklift certification as required.

Physical Demands

Occasional sitting, reaching, working overhead, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequent walking throughout warehouse facilities. Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion. Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds. Occasional lifting up to 100 pounds. Continuous lifting up to 10 pounds.

Compensation & Bonus

Compensation is based on experience, skills, and overall qualifications. This position is eligible for a yearly company bonus program.

Work Schedule

This is a salaried position scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch break. Additional hours, overtime, or weekend work may be required based on business needs. Employees are expected to maintain consistent attendance and adhere to company time-off policies.
