Outpatient Physical Therapist - 13 Week Contract

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients, developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients. They ensure the design of functional treatment programs allowing for effective return to community activities. The role includes educating patients, families, students, and coworkers while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilizes clinical reasoning to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Documents patient care clearly, concisely, and accurately in compliance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Participates in student programs as assigned, offering supervision and developing educational objectives.
• Actively engages in professional growth opportunities through continuing education and self-study.
• Follows discipline-specific State Practice Acts and maintains professional licensure in good standing.
• Implements organizational performance improvement initiatives and offers feedback for maximizing outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an Accredited School.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Active and applicable license for the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This position operates on a 5x8.0 schedule.
