We strive to fulfill this mission by following our Core Values of Safety, Individual Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Growth and Commitment.Come and surround yourself with talented and professional individuals who have also taken the next step of making a difference in someone's life.You would not only have a great and dedicated team to work with, but you may also be eligible to take advantage of a comprehensive benefits plan which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), legal and PTO.Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:30pmDuties/Responsibilities:Provide instruction to a class of up to 12 students at various skill levelsDeliver instruction and demonstration in the areas of: Safety, Environmental Awareness and Green Building, Hand and Power Tool Safety, Blueprints, Carpentry Maintenance, Roofing/Drywall/Plaster, Concrete and Masonry Maintenance, Surface Finishing and Sealing, Plumbing Maintenance, Electrical Maintenance, Building Safety Systems and Environmental Control Systems, Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance, and Employability SkillsCollaborate with academic instructors to develop project-based learning activitiesEffectively relate to the student population and recognize student success in the classroomProvide mentorship to create a positive atmosphere and promote student engagementMaintain classroom and testing integrityComplete classroom attendance throughout the dayDocument student performance, progress, and concernsMaintain adequate classroom cleanlinessPerform all other duties as assignedMinimum: At least four years of experience in the construction/building maintenance field or a minimum of three years of experience as a certified teacher in a vocational, technical, construction, or maintenance training program. No teaching experience required, however, if candidate is not state certified he/she must have practical experience in the general construction and building maintenance areas.Preferred: Minimum plus Job Corps experience, Extensive practical knowledge of trade and teaching or classroom management experience.
