Mental Health Therapist Licensed - Hourly

Position Overview Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist (MHTL) for its Behavioral Health Program in Kelso, WA. The role provides individual and group counseling, case management, crisis stabilization, suicide risk assessment, and treatment planning for a diverse patient population. Responsibilities Deliver individual and group counseling, including crisis stabilization and suicide risk assessment. Diagnose mental‑health issues and develop treatment plans. Provide referrals and coordinate care with medication providers, primary‑care physicians, and community agencies. Case‑manage chronically ill patients, Intensive Outpatient Program participants, and high‑utilizer clients. Collaborate with CDMHPs, inpatient facilities (including Western State Hospital), ensuring proper hospitalization and discharge protocols. Supervise other clinicians seeking licensing and assist with clinical chart reviews. Support compliance with Washington state WACs, RCWs, and clinical contracts. Qualifications Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work with coursework in psychological diagnostics. Four or more years of clinical experience. Active Washington State mental‑health license (Mental Health Counselor, Marriage & Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker) at all times. Responsible for continuing education hours and licensing fees. Additional Requirements Complete Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire and maintain certification. Undergo a TB test annually and at hiring. Compensation & Benefits Hourly rate: $36.41. Incentive: up to $2,000 per week for productivity.
